Monster Kickabout is back! We’re kick-starting a new school year with an even bigger and better 4-week football programme for Primary Schools in the UK!
With free football teaching resources and a free football pack for the first 2500 schools to register, you can help us put the ALL back into footbALL this autumn term.
Monster Kickabout is a nationwide Primary School football initiative from Sports Direct and Nike, created to encourage more kids to take up football, with free resources and football equipment provided to help teachers host a week of football fun.
Our goal is to help put the ALL back into football. We want ALL kids of ALL genders and ALL abilities to find their reason to LOVE the game and find the beginning of their football love stories.
Monster Kickabout will take place over 4 weeks from 9th October to 10th November, with resources, games ideas, equipment and much more available to teachers.

Monster Kickabout 2023 four week programme kicks off on the 9th of October, with the final whistle being blown on the 10th of November 2023.
If you have registered previously with Sport Starts Here for either Monster Kickabout or Sports Slam, simply use your log in details and register with the Monster Kickabout 2023 event here.
If you are new to Monster Kickabout and have not previously registered with Sport Starts Here, you will need to first create an account here, then register with Monster Kickabout 2023 here.

Yes, but unless your monster power is cloning, there’s no need as your school can only enter once. So one teacher per school is perfect!
The first 2500 schools to sign up will receive a monster kit pack bursting with football equipment. Every school will also receive a welcome pack full of lesson plans to help your school host an epic week of football fun!
Of course, we’d love to see all your monster efforts. There’s no prizes for doing this, just showing off! #MonsterKickabout
We will email all schools that are within the first 2500 to sign up, so it’s best to check your inbox to find out. If you were successful, this email will also contain information on when you will receive your kit packs.
If you’re not part of the first 2500 schools to sign up then do not fear, you’ll still receive an exclusive discount code for purchasing equipment, as well as all the resources and lesson plans you need to host a Monster Kickabout week to remember!
Any school in the UK is eligible for a free equipment pack if they are within the first 2500 schools to register. If you are not a UK school, you can still sign up to the event and receive the free resources to take part in Monster Kickabout, but you will not be eligible for a free equipment pack.
If multiple entries for a single school are received, the first entry date will be used. A school will only be eligible to receive one pack.
